Endangered Rhinos
Rhinos i.e. the black species are a native of Eastern and Central areas of Africa found in: Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia, Angola and Cameroon. An adult weighs between 1.8 -3 tonnes. Females are slightly smaller. Blacks are being pushed to extinction due to habitat loss due to human encroachment. As man clears more bush to satisfy his ego of food production the more he is pushing them to extinction. Available markets in Asian countries and organized poaching gangs have really endangered their existence. According to International Rhino Foundation report of 2003their population has slightly recovered to over 3,600comparing their population back in 1993when their population was around 2300.
Rhino’s horn is used in traditional Chinese medicine by herbalists. They claim it cures fevers, revive comatose patients and boost male sexual stamina and fertility. No purported effectiveness in its cure for any of the above has been confirmed by medical science field. The White rhino is the least endangered species. Its upon every body to stop buying or receiving anything purported to be made of ivory. Save rhinos save the future.
What Are Elephants
Elephants especially Savannas can weigh up to four to seven tonnes and are three to four metres tall compare with the other who weigh around two to four tonnes and are around three metres tall. Both groups have tusks in males and female species. In the Asian species only males have tusks. The females have tushes white are figured to be their second incisors and just stick out beyond the upper lip. The Asian’s known as Indian Elephants are smaller than the African and smaller ears. Their population is estimated to be around 60,000, about a tenth of the numbers of the ones from Africa.
Elephants from Asia have also been decreasing gradually than those from Africa a factor attributed to human encroachment of their habitats and poaching. The Asian’s also have subspecies like Elephas maximus maximu [Sri Lankan Elephant] which are the largest of Asians weighing around three to five tonnes and two to three metres in height. This type has large areas of color pigmentation than the others. There is also the Elpas maximus sumatranus [Sumatran], very light grey in colur and weighing three to four tonnes and are two to two point five metres in height. Another type is the Elphas maximus Indicus [Indian] which weighs two to four point five tonnes are two to three metres tall. It’s lighter grey in color.
Elephant Interesting Facts
Elephant trunk joins the nose and the upper lip and has over 100,000 muscle units. The trunk can get very heavy and sometimes has to be rested over the tusk. It doesn’t drink water with their trunk but use it as a tool to hold water and the pour it into its mouth. It can cry, play, have very good memories and laugh. When a member dies, a still born baby or a friend there is a lot of mourning. It is the most sensitive animal and if a baby complains , the whole family will touch and careless it. Greeting ceremonies are organized when a lost family member or friend returns to the group.
Elephants have a very highly developed sense of smell, but their deep growling or rumbling noises is the principle means of communication. Each individual is thought to have own signature growl by which it can be identified. Sometimes they communicate with their ears by blasting them together when in danger or alarmed to make the others form a protective circle around the younger members of the family group. It’s interesting that they make lw-frequency calls which even though loud, are too low for humans to hear. The sounds allow them to communicate with one another at distances of five to six miles.

Breaking the Back of Poverty
I am reminded of the story about a young man a century or so ago who had a dream of coming to the United States. He worked hard and saved everything he could to finally be able to buy a ticket. The price took everything he had, but soon he boarded a ship sailing for America. Throughout the day and evening, he would see people heading toward the dining room to eat. He knew he could never afford the cost of even one meal, so when he was hungry, he would go back to his room and eat from the paltry, dwindling supply of crackers and peanuts. Eventually he ran completely out of food, but he was determined to avoid complaining. He knew that in time he would soon get a job and eat all he wanted. Somehow he managed to survive the Atlantic crossing.
A couple of days before the ship was scheduled to dock in New York Harbor, the ship captain asked, “Young man, I’ve noticed that you never come to breakfast or lunch or dinner. Is there some reason?”
The young man responded, “Sir, I must admit that I spent all of the money I saved just to pay for the ticket to America. I didn’t have anything left over to buy even one meal.”
“My goodness,” the ship captain exclaimed. “I am so sorry that you misunderstood. The ticket price includes all the meals, too!”
Something the young man didn’t understand almost destroyed him!
What You Don’t Know Can Destroy You
Too many times we are like that. Christians know that Jesus Christ, through His death and resurrection, provided eternal life for anyone who believes in Him.
But being prepared for the next world doesn’t always mean that you know God’s principles for living the abundant life in this world.
This is why it is possible that even as you seek to live a godly life and give to the Lord’s work, you may not be receiving the harvest that God has in store for you.
What you don’t understand may be destroying you.
The Lesson That Changed My Life
If we don’t understand and obey the Word of God today, tomorrow we will lose. I had to learn this lesson of breaking the back of poverty the hard way many years ago.
During the 1970s when I was in desperate need, my father-in-law-to-be gave me this word from God: “The reason you’re in debt, Benny, is because you’re not a giver!” Then he told me a truth that would change my understanding forever: “If you want to get out of debt, you must begin to obey God’s Word. Pay God’s bills and then He will pay yours!”
I was shocked, but little did I know that what I had just heard would be the best news imaginable. I called my secretary in and said, “Marian, get the checkbook out! I’m going to obey God!”
I began telling her to write a check for $1,000 to this ministry, and another $1,000 to that ministry, and so on. We had $20,000 in the bank, but we owed $200,000. Still I told her to send out 20 checks for $1,000 each, and I emptied the bank account. That was Wednesday. I went home and stayed there until Sunday. When I arrived at church, I had exactly 10 cents in my pocket and nothing in my bank account. When they passed the offering plate, wouldn’t you know it? God told me to give the 10 cents I had left!
I fought against it as the offering plate approached, but I knew it was God’s voice. By the time I placed the 10 cents in the plate, I was actually trembling. It was such a small amount of money, but it represented the fact that now I had absolutely nothing.
Monday morning I opened a letter and saw a check for $1,000! The letter said, “The Lord spoke to me today to send this to you. I don’t know why, but I’m just obeying Him.” The postmark showed that it had been mailed on Wednesday, the same day I obeyed God.
That was just the beginning. We started receiving check after check. Each letter said pretty much the same thing: “The Lord told me to send this to you.” We were completely out of debt in six months!
We Serve a God of Miracles!
I am telling you that the God we serve is a God of miracles. This could be a precious moment for you because my heart is filled with faith for you and your family. My faith is strong that God wants to bring you out of the financial pressure you are under. God gave me a mighty miracle nearly 30 years ago, and I have faith that the same miracle will happen for you today.
When you sow it into the Lord’s work, He gets you out of your bondage. All you have to do is obey Him. It may look impossible to you today, but the Lord we serve—the God of miracles—has a miraculous plan designed especially for you. It is obedience that moves His hand. Trust Him to break the back of poverty, for the God we serve will surely do it!
And it is your seed that will make all the difference in the world! What you keep is your harvest. What you sow is your seed.
When you open your hand, God opens His windows. And the seed that leaves your hands never leaves your life—it just leaves your hands and goes into the future, where it multiplies.
Your Miracle
Do you need a miracle in your life? Do you want something better for yourself and your family? Do you need God to break the back of poverty in your life?
Then follow these three principles:
1. Acknowledge the Lord as your Source of everything.
2. When you ask God for a miracle, ask for His direction and instruction.
3. Plant your sacrificial seed for a specific result—to free you from financial bondage.
You cannot buy God’s favor, of course. With your seed you tap into God’s supernatural power through your obedience and faith as you listen to His voice.
What kind of a future do you want?
What seed are you willing to sow?
What result are you placing on that seed in faith?
What kind of harvest are you expecting?
The Lord Jesus tells us, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”(Luke 6:38).
Be part of this unusual harvest season! Believe for a major impact in your life.
As you offer your seed-gift, be sure to tell us what harvest you are expecting so we can agree with you in prayer over that harvest.
Sow your seed now! It is a decision that can change your life forever!
Sow your seed with mighty expectation for today and the future, no matter what the circumstances around you may be!
Now is the time, for your greatest days are ahead. Your future is so much greater than your past, and your destiny is more prosperous than anything you have known before!
Thank you for all you are doing to take the Gospel of Jesus around the world through crusades, conferences, broadcasts, and mission outreaches.
We know it is “not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6)…
Preaching the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ,
teaching the unchanging Word of God, and
expecting the mighty and miraculous
power of the Holy Spirit,
